UAE’s 5-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa: Everything You Need to Know
(Latest Visa Update)
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has revolutionized travel for frequent visitors with the launch of the 5-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa. If you frequently travel to Dubai for business, tourism, or to visit family members, this visa is a game-changer!
At SM Tours and Travels in Tenkasi, we are already helping many of our clients secure this visa. Here is everything you need to know about the eligibility, fees, stay limits, and how to apply.
What is the 5-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa?
Unlike standard 30-day or 60-day tourist visas that expire once you exit the country, this new visa allows you to enter the UAE multiple times over a period of 5 years without needing a sponsor or applying for a new visa each time.
Key Benefits & Stay Limits:
- Stay Duration: You can stay in the UAE for up to 90 days on each visit.
- Extension: This 90-day period can be extended once for another 90 days, allowing a maximum continuous stay of 180 days in a single year.
- Self-Sponsorship: You do not need a UAE resident or company to sponsor your visa.
Eligibility Criteria
This visa is open to all nationalities (including Indian citizens). However, since it is a long-term visa, the UAE government has set some strict financial requirements to ensure visitors can support themselves:
- Bank Balance: The applicant must provide a bank statement for the last 6 months showing a continuous minimum balance of $4,000 (approx. ₹3.3 Lakhs) or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
- Health Insurance: Valid UAE health insurance coverage for the duration of your stay.
- Clean Record: A clean travel history with no previous overstays or deportations in the UAE.
Documents Required
When you apply through SM Tours, we will need the following documents from you in clear PDF/JPEG formats:
- Colored passport copy (front and back) with at least 6 months validity.
- A recent passport-size colored photograph with a white background.
- 6-month stamped bank statement (showing the required $4,000 balance).
- Round-trip flight tickets (for the initial visit).
- Proof of accommodation (Hotel booking or host’s address).
- UAE-approved Medical Insurance.
Visa Fees
The official government fee for the 5-year multiple-entry visa is AED 650 (approx. ₹14,800), excluding service charges and insurance costs.
While this might seem higher than a regular 30-day visa, if you visit Dubai even twice a year, the 5-year visa saves you thousands of rupees and hours of paperwork in the long run!
How to Apply from Tenkasi?
The application process involves uploading documents to the ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security) portal. Any mistake in document uploading or financial proof can lead to immediate rejection, and the visa fee is non-refundable.
